New acquisition joins software development with design thinking
DRAPER, Utah—Tech9, a software development company based out of Draper, recently acquired Stotion LLC, an innovative UX/UI design agency.
“We believe that adding UX/UI design to our process will improve the user experience of the software we develop while also increasing our client’s return on their investment,” said Nick Stice, Tech9’s CEO. “So when this opportunity was presented, it made sense to acquire the company that already had these skills that we were looking for.”
Stotion has helped many companies with their branding and UX design. Stotion’s name comes from a blend of “strategy” and “emotion.” The name suits the company well as its beautiful designs are backed by a deep understanding of digital marketing and UX strategies.
Tech9 provides staff augmentation service and full-service development teams to tech and non-tech companies. The acquisition will allow Tech9 to build even more compelling and competitive software equipped with powerful designs for clients. It will also allow Stotion to broaden the services it offers and to develop products on almost any technology platform.
“Being able to see the images and the visuals before we build things will lead to a higher success rate and happier customers,” Stice said.
As a Tech9 company, Stotion will keep its brand and continue to operate from its Provo office. Seth Taylor, the founder and previous CEO of Stotion, will join Tech9’s advisory board.
Tech9 has been selected among the Top Software Companies In Salt Lake City by Designrush.
